Summary
ANUU Clinic is able to offer a solution for all the visible signs of sun damage and ageing such as brown spots (pigmentation) redness (thread veins) and uneven skin texture (collagen) with Skin Rejuvenation.
If you have thread veins, sun damage or uneven skin texture then this Skin Rejuvenation treatment could be the answer to getting better skin. The treatment can improve skin tone and texture, lift and hydrate skin and even out pigmentation. It makes skin firmer and smoother, reducing lines and wrinkles. It can be used on the face, neck and chest as well as other areas, which have been exposed to sun, such as the hands.
What is it?
Brown spots are sometimes called, age spots, dark spots, sunspots or liver spots. They are built up concentrations of melanin in the skin (the colouring), which have formed due to unprotected exposure to the sun for long periods of time. Basically patches of skin, which have become darker in colour.
Thread veins are tiny veins, which run underneath the skin and have become dilated (open). Thread veins do not indicate any underlying medical problem, and are nothing to be concerned about, however many people find then unsightly on their body. Being overweight and smoking also seem to increase the likelihood of developing them.
Sun damage skin occurs due to unprotected over exposure to the suns rays. Skin texture can change and become uneven, this can be due to Ultra Violent rays from the sun. These changes could include thinning of skin, coarse wrinkles, thickening of skin and fine lines.
Benefits
This Intense Pulse Light technology is safe and non invasive, so you are able to get back to normal quickly after treatment.
It could help increase in confidence and self esteem due to clearer skin.
Procedure
How it works
ANUU Clinic uses the latest laser technology to eliminate superficial signs of ageing including freckles, broken capillaries, rosacea, age spots and fine lines and wrinkles.
The Intense Pulse Light (IPL) technology emits light, which is absorbed by any of the marks, lesions, red veins in the skin. The light heats up these areas and they are destroyed.
The deeper layers of the skin are also rejuvenated and the light provides beneficial energy to the deeper tissues.
The process
A cold geld is applied to the area being treated. You will be asked to wear dark glasses to protect you from the bright light. The smooth glass surface of the IPL handpiece is gently applied to your skin and the pulse of light is applied. You may feel a sharp pinprick. In general most patients find this treatment painless.
Treatment take 30 minutes; 6-9 initial treatments over 3-week period; top up every 4-6 weeks to maintain.
Side effects
The effects of this light source as a skin enhancer were discovered through its use in hospital dermatology and oncology departments. It has been used for more than 10 years in hospitals with no side-effects.
Avoid exposure to the sun for 24-48 hours after treatment and use sunscreen and moisturisers.
Cost
You will have an initial consultation before the treatment starts with a skin test patch to ensure you have no adverse effects.
The cost is £75 per treatment
